Why should I back up my files?

First Rule in Avoiding Disaster ... BACK UP!

If you don't back up your data and run a disk scanner regularly, you're looking for trouble, particularly if your job involves your computer. Even if you've been lucky so far, remember disaster is only a glitch away. Save important files on CDs, zip disks, or an external drive. It may take a few extra minutes at the end of the day, but the first time you see that Sad Mac, you'll be glad you did it!
