Starting with Mac OS 8.5, Apple replaced the Mac OS "Find" function with the much more powerful Sherlock, a feature that enables Macintosh users to search the Internet, using multiple search engines, directly from the MacOS desktop. You can also use it just like "Find" … in fact, it comes up by typing Command-F.
